Olive Tree Business in Christ
To reveal the heart of God through gospel centred business

Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and 70 of Israel's leaders. They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made out of sapphire as clear and blue as the sky itself. God didn't harm these leaders of the Israelites. So they saw God, and then they ate and drank. (Exodus 24:9-11)

"Go and create jobs!" It is such an enormous instruction, but where does one start. The best place to start is always with prayer.

I knelt down and asked God to show me the way. "Have breakfasts!" He said. So we started to have breakfasts on every fourth Saturday of the month.

Our first breakfasts were more like a church ceremony than anything else. We sang, we preached, and we also collected money (under the definition of an offering). We prayed and we asked to be blessed. Then we also ate. We also allowed people to give personal opinions and testimonies and then we went home.

One day I was just sitting and praying in a quiet place. Suddenly God spoke and said: "The breakfasts!" Excited I responded: "Yes, God." "I told you to have breakfasts, I never told you to collect money!"

From that day on we diligently have had the breakfasts, but we have stopped to ever ask for money again. We have had many different breakfasts, and as God has led us, we have adapted. We have breakfasts at different locations.

Over the years we have experienced deeper and wiser direction through the breakfasts. We also have met people that we could not have met through other ways. We have also started to understand the lifestyle where all bring what they have and we share it together. The breakfasts have shown us the power of love. The breakfasts have enabled us to break away from our own selfish ideas.

As part of this exciting life to create jobs, we will have regular breakfasts until God instructs us to stop.
