Olive Tree Business in Christ
To reveal the heart of God through gospel centred business
And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifyingof the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11,12)
We are apostolic people who radiate LIFE into mushrooming businesses.
I asked our Lord: "God, what does it mean to be apostolic?" Again God answered in a way that made it clear and visual: "Look to your front!" Immediately I saw bush and only bush in front of me.
"Now look to your back!" I turned around and right up to my back was this beautiful clean river. The water was crystal blue and totally uncontaminated. People were playing in the water and as they played the water splashed and sparkled like stars. There was peace, joy, and love amongst the people in the water.
On the one side of the river was a well kept lawn. People were lying on the lawn, resting and tanning. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm. No-one was concerned about anything. On the other side of the river were high rocks. Well dressed men in suits stood on the rocks and with mighty attitudes they discussed the activities in the river and on the lawn.
"Go now and walk into the bush so that the river can follow! What happens behind you is of no concern to yourself," God instructed. Immediately I understood the role of an apostle. We are supposed to walk into the unknown and pave the way for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to follow. The Holy Spirit will be with us, few will jump into it, many will be attached in an uncommitted attitude and the important people of this world will have opinions about it. All of these are of no concern to us, we must just walk into the forest!
